R.E.A.L. SEMINARS OFFER IN-PERSON PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT,
DESIGNED FOR HUMANITIES TEACHERS, BY HUMANITIES TEACHERS
Ever heard someone say something like: "It was a great conference, but there was no time to think about how to actually bring this home to my own classroom. Then I got home, regular life resumed and ..."? If you've spent time in a faculty lounge, chances are good you have. And I'm also guilty of it!
R.E.A.L. Seminars blend experiential learning with a focus on implementation. We spend a day exploring, the importance of student-led discussion, together, guided by goals we set, research we integrate, personal experiences we share. We then introduce R.E.A.L. as framework for planning, integrating, and assessing student-led discussion that we hope you'll adapt to fit your students, teaching style, and subject matter!
What: Our seminars are 1 or 2-Day, in-person intensives led by R.E.A.L.® Founder Liza Garonzik and teachers experienced using the method.
When and Where: Seminars run 9am-4pm, with optional evening programming. Next up: Two-Day Session, on April 27-28 in Atlanta
For Whom: Any classroom teacher or teaching team, gr. 6-12, interested in increasing and improving student-led discussion. Academic administrators who maintain a teaching load are also welcome.
...What Else?: The price is $400 for a two-day workshop, including lunch and full set of R.E.A.L. materials. However, if two or more educators attend from a single school, it is $300 per teacher. Need to justify the expense to a supervisor? Contact Liza Cowan for a one-pager that explains how R.E.A.L. aligns to common curricular priorities.
... CAN'T MAKE IT TO A SEMINAR,
BUT INTERESTED IN SEEING SOME R.E.AL.® MATERIALS?
EXCITED, BUT NOT YET READY TO SIGN UP OR SHELL OUT?
